About Jeff
I’ve spent thirty years in two worlds that rarely overlap: performance marketing and executive coaching.
The first world is where I learned scale. I’m an entrepreneur and builder who loves taking things from 0 to 1, and then scaling them to thousands. I ran a solo agency managing over $100M in Google Ads spend, led enterprise initiatives at Rocket Companies (RocketAuto.com), and drove product and growth at Detroit Trading Company and AutoFinder.com. I still build. I write code, ship full-stack apps, and run the AI pipelines behind microcoach.app, because I think leaders should stay close to the craft.
The second world is where I learned what scale costs. Through Gray Matter Group Advisory, and as a certified Leadership Circle Practitioner, I work with founders, executives, and leadership teams. I don’t do motivational frameworks. The work is self-awareness, less ego, and getting daily execution to line up with the long view.
The experience that actually shaped me didn’t happen in either world. It happened standing next to my son through three and a half years of treatment for T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). That stripped away a lot of noise. Strength turned out not to be about having answers. It’s about showing up every day, controlling what you can, and trusting the process.
My mantra for that is “stay on the bike”. When the grade steepens and stopping is the easiest option, you keep turning the pedals. It’s what I tell clients. It’s what I tell myself.
If you’re building something ambitious or leading through something hard, write to me.
