What most people know about me… I’m the Chief Product Officer at Rocket Auto, a Rocket (RKT) Company, focused on making car buying and selling simple. The automotive industry has been my “home of homes” for the better part of 20+ years, and it has given me more than I could ever give back – though I’m going to spend the next twenty years trying.
I am a visionary leader with an endless supply of big ideas. I invest in quality relationships, have an affinity for sales and salespeople, and love solving impossible problems. I believe in thinking big, no, thinking bigger – bigger than most find comfortable. That is where the magic is, and that’s why I’m starting this newsletter.
I love leadership. I thought I knew what being a leader meant, yet my lens for leadership was forever changed when I joined the Rock Family of Companies (now Rocket Companies) in 2015. I’ve been very fortunate to be part of a leadership cohort that focuses on culture, trust, integrity, being creative vs. reactive, and living and leading “above the line.” I’ve been pushed and challenged in ways I never imagined possible.
What most people DON’T know about me… I’ve struggled with insecurity, jealousy, vulnerability, and fear. I wish knew earlier in life that intelligence with a heavy dose of humility is a powerful combination. I’m an Enneagram Type 8.
💉 I’ve parented my son through a cancer diagnosis (T-Cell ALL) and 3.5 years of treatment. As tough as that journey was, I live with survivor’s guilt because I didn’t lose a child when I know parents and friends who have.
🍀 I’ve been unbelievably lucky because I simply showed up.
💵 I’ve managed more than $100 million in Google AdWords spend as a solo consultant simply because I responded to a help-wanted ad.
🏀 I’ve had the opportunity to mentor/coach executives in the NBA because I said “yes” to an ask for mentors.
🚀🚘 I’m building an amazing business and team at Rocket Auto because I had the courage to take a risk and leave a job where I was more than comfortable.
⭕️ I’m certified as a Leadership Circle Practioner because I leaned into an opportunity giving me the tools to help people (including myself) become better leaders.
👍🏼 Saying “yes” and simply showing up has been life-changing.
